JOANNA HAWROT – designer and founder of the HAWROT brand. The starting point of her work is a deep connection between fashion and art. For 14 years, the designer has consistently pursued her unique philosophy, "FROM FASHION TO ART," creating modern versions of kimonos, from day one this is the DNA of her brand.

Her design process unfolds in three stages: in the first stage, the designer draws inspiration from oriental roots, creating her SIGNATURE FORMS. In the second stage, she focuses on the precise design of FABRICS. In the final phase, she adapts the ART itself, into the fabric.

In her work, the designer remains truthful to the Japanese aesthetic of polarization – expressing a maximum amount of meaning through minimalist form. Her collections engaging with the culture and tradition of Asia, giving her response into the context of contemporary Europe.

Joanna Hawrot's kimonos have powerful connection with ART LOVERS – who in additionally enjoy a very intimate relationship with art. This is what makes these kimonos extraordinary, and at the same time "WORKS OF ART" become "WEARABLE ART".

Her solo exhibition "Kimono as Experience. The Artistic Language of Joanna Hawrot" was recently held at the National Museum in Wrocław. Hawrot's designs have gained international recognition, with her collections showcased at prestigious exhibitions in Tokyo, Paris, and New York. The designer will present her work at the international EXPO exhibition in Osaka very soon.
