Joanna Hawrot's AUTHORIAL METHOD is a way of working with fashion and art, as well as a profound relationship between them. For 14 years, the designer has consistently implemented her unique philosophy, “FROM FASHION TO ART,” creating modern versions of kimonos, which today form the DNA of her brand.
The design process takes place in three stages: in the first stage, the designer draws on oriental roots, taking inspiration to create her AUTHORIAL FORMS; in the second stage, she focuses on the precise design of FABRICS; and in the third stage, she incorporates ART itself, collaborating with contemporary artists and uniquely translating their works onto fabric.

In her creative process, the designer remains faithful to the Japanese aesthetic of polarization – emphasizing the expression of the maximum amount of content within a minimal form. In her collections, she corresponds with the culture and tradition of Asia, offering her response that “fits into the space of contemporary Europe.”

Joanna Hawrot's kimonos resonate particularly strongly with so-called ART LOVERS – those who enjoy an intimate relationship with art. This defines the uniqueness of these kimonos, which become “WORKS OF ART” and, at the same time, “WEARABLE ART.” In her collections, the artist brings specific characters to life and introduces them into the universe she creates. Thus, the KIMONO EXPERIENCE is born – a contemporary story of art, rooted in contexts such as: the poetics of pleasure, the culture of enjoyment, the taboo surrounding human sexuality, repressed memories, fleeting moments, abandoned dreams, unconscious needs and longings, the fetishization of forms, and the therapeutic power of transforming what is painful into what is healing.

Collaboration and creative exchange are among the pillars of the designer's work – through this, fashion and art enter into dialogue, becoming equal partners in the creation of a new language.
